Riflery

What would a camp experience be without riflery? Frontier Camp uses .22 caliber rifles properly sized to the camper as young as eight years old. Safety is our NUMBER ONE priority at the range and trained leaders strictly enforce range commands and safety measures (including ear and eye protection) for the campers engaging in this enjoyable activity. Our rifle range is a standard 50 foot distance ending in a large dirt-mound in a low-lying, highly protected area of the camp. Only four participants shoot at one time and while shooting there is a one to two instructor to shooter ratio. Proper gun safety and handling are taught to each participant. Practice on cans and other targets conclude with a contest of a real .22 paper target. Be warned guys, girls often win these contests hands down!
